Safe-Latch for Out-Swing Doors
Most classroom doors open by swinging out into the hallway; these are called out-swing doors. Typically, these can only be locked from outside, which could create a danger to the teacher who must turn their back on the hallway while locking the door during an active shooter incident. Safe-Latch for Out-Swing doors reduces risk and makes it fast and easy for a teacher or student to engage the door latch in one fast motion.
